NCCAOM Announces Path to National Certification for Previously Licensed California Acupuncturists 8-8-2018

Michael Fox, the current chair of CalATMA and the president of California Acupuncture Association, has been working diligently for the last few years on the divisive issue of replacing the state’s CALE exam with the NCCAOM exam. An extensive study of the exam was completed in June 2016 and as a result, NCCAOM is prepared to offer all those active, currently licensed California acupuncturists a new route to qualify for board certification in Oriental Medicine without the requirement of taking the NCCAOM exams. As a courtesy, NCCAOM contacted Michael just after publication in today’s Acupuncture Today to let him know about the breakthrough development.
